The GP Confederation's vision is to make a positive difference to the quality of primary care in City and Hackney, and to influence the development and redesign of local services through being a collective voice for primary care in the local health and social care system. The GP Confederation's vision is to ensure that local communities have access to the best quality local healthcare and services.
The GP Confederation as a Community Interest Company is a not-for-profit organisation and, as such, is committed to re-investing profits back into local primary care services to meet the healthcare needs of local people. The GP Confederation aims to be an organisation that is open, honest, responsive, and that works in partnership and collaboration with others.
The GP Confederation's strategic aims are:
- To develop the role of the GP Confederation as a local provider of out-of-hospital services and local preventative services;
- To develop the capacity and capability of the local primary workforce;
- To develop the role of the Confederation in relation to public health and health promotion;
- To develop the work of the Confederation in relation to research and innovation.
